Technology can help us create music.
But the passion behind it still has to come from people.
At the core of my music there has always been one thing: making beats.
Over the years that grew into something much bigger. I started adding more instruments and more production techniques, until I was building complete instrumentals and finished songs with everything in place.
For me, making music was never about pressing a button and getting a result. Give me a stick and something to hit, and I will probably find a beat. Put me behind a screen and a keyboard, and you will usually see two fingers doing the work 😄
I enjoy building, shaping and refining a track until it sounds right - and until the bass hits my chest the way it should.
For a long time I helped people out. Repair work, mostly: musicians asking me to strip AI artifacts out of their tracks and rebuild what had broken - drums full of noise, an instrument that had drifted into something else halfway through, sounds that had stopped behaving like instruments. Somewhere in 2025 the requests started coming faster than I could answer them, and what began as helping friends had quietly become a full-time job.
So at the beginning of 2026, I made a decision. I had to stop.
A different path. A new workflow.
I did not want to spend all my time making music for anyone who happened to ask. I wanted to work with people who genuinely live music.
People who are not simply looking for a quick song to make money from, but who are willing to put themselves, their ideas and their passion into what they create, and send it out into the world.
That is when Tjipkali Studios began.
Today I have to be more selective about the collaborations I take on. Not because I want to make music exclusive, but because I want the time, the energy and the experience behind each collaboration to mean something.
Technology can help us create music.
But the passion, the emotion and the commitment behind it still have to come from people ❤️
